Contribute to the Community

Here’s a what we’re looking for:

Columns – We are searching for columnists for the website. If you would like to and can regularly contribute (at least once every other week) to Community Chickens, please enter a sample piece below.

Feature Articles – You should submit an article if you would like to contribute a feature story but cannot commit to regular submissions. Do-It-Yourself pieces are especially encouraged.

Video Series Hosts – If you aren’t a writer, or prefer to explain things in front of a camera, we are actively seeking readers who are interested in hosting their own video series. Your own equipment would be required, but your videos would be featured on the home page and in our newsletters and seen by thousands of people every year. Please use the form below, and submit a synopsis of what your video would be about, and attach a photo of yourself.

Academic Papers – We are always interested in scholarly research submissions on any topic in any way relevant to poultry. Articles should be, at minimum, 1,000 words, but there is no ceiling. References and notes should be included in the body of your submission. We also accept abstracts (500 words or less) for unwritten papers. Community Chickens is not a peer-reviewed journal, and is not affiliated with any academic institution.

Social Media Gurus – We are searching for people to help us with Facebooking / Tweeting / and Pinning. If you find stories you just want to share with the Community, let us know!
